Data protection and information security

goMedus is aware that the protection of your privacy when using our internet sites is very important to you. We take our mission of ensuring the confidentiality of your data as part of the valid provisions of the Data Protection Act very seriously, in the interests of both parties. We use modern techniques to communicate with you and to secure your data.

Data Confidentiality

We use and process your personal data, whether it be the internet address of your computer or personal information or information on your user behaviour:

  • in a targeted manner: this means exclusively for the information and consulting about our business activity or the goMedus concept.
  • confidentially: this means our staff are informed about the provisions of the Data Protection Act and are committed to data secrecy according to Article 5 of the Federal Data Protection Act. Only those employees in our company who are commissioned with supporting interested parties and customers and with dealing with their requests, applications and contracts shall have access to personal information.   If you request information or ask us to contact you, you enter the personal data necessary for this on a voluntary basis. Without voluntarily entering the data, no personal data will be automatically collected.

Cookies

A cookie describes information which a web server sends to a browser (access program for the internet, e.g. Internet Explorer) which the browser then resends to the same web server when accessed later. The use of cookies therefore allows information to be saved between the retrievals of a page.

If the web server of a website sends cookies to a browser, they are locally stored on the computer, normally in a text file. Here the browser looks for cookies, which come from the same website with each retrieval of a website and adds these cookies to the retrieval. This guarantees the consistent connection between the browser and server, the server "recognises the browser".

The user can view the cookies stored on their computer and delete them at any time. A typical use of cookies is the saving of personal settings on websites.

goMedus uses cookies to optimise the website (static analysis). The cookies do not contain any personal data.
